Call to worship Isaiah 53: 1 – 6
1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

Reading Hebrews 10: 1 – 4
10 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. 2 Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. 3 But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. 4 It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. – Lisa

1 Corinthians 11: 23 – 26
“The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” – Victoria
Lord’s Supper
We are about to share the Lord’s Supper. This simple meal reminds us of the night Jesus ate with His disciples before He was betrayed and went to the cross. We do this because Jesus told us to remember Him in this way whenever we gather.
This meal is for those who love the Lord and want to love Him more. You don’t have to be perfect – just come with a thankful heart.
As you take the bread, remember Jesus gave His body for you on the cross because He loves you. Find strength and hope in that love.
As you take the cup, remember His blood was poured out to bring forgiveness and a new covenant – a grace-filled relationship with God, based on faith and inner transformation, not rituals. Through Him we have direct access to God and the promise of eternal life.
Before you come forward, take a moment to thank God for all Jesus has done for you.
When you’re ready, please come, take the bread and wine from Gillian and Hazel return to your seat, giving thanks to God for Jesus and His love for you.
