Call to worship
Matthew Acts 2: 38 – 39
“Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
Opening prayer – Hazel
Reading 1 Peter 3: 21 – 22
“and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.” – Lorraine

Baptism questions by the pool side
I will ask Naomi to come to step forward and ask:
Naomi have accepted Jesus as both Lord and Saviour. That is, have you turned to Jesus for forgiveness for all your failures to love God and love your fellowman as you should?
And have you Naomi committed your life to obey Jesus’ teachings through the indwelling strength of the Holy Spirit, that is to love God and your fellowman with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
Do you now wish to be baptised in obedience to Jesus’ teachings and by doing so declare to all creation that you are God’s child now and through all eternity?
Having accepted your freely given profession of faith and in obedience to Jesus’ teachings I invite you to be baptised.
Baptism in the pool
“On the profession of your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and in obedience to His command, I now baptize you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
